--LHP Scott Lewis' consecutive scoreless innings streak at the start of his career was snapped at 15 in the second inning Sunday when the Tigers scored a run on a double-play grounder hit by Edgar Renteria. The last Indians pitcher to not allow an earned run in the first 14 innings of his career was Dennis Eckersley, in May of 1975.

--With the win, the Indians improved to 78-77, the first time they have been above .500 since they were 22-21 on the morning of May 18. Since the July 7 trade that sent LHP CC Sabathia to the Brewers, Cleveland is 41-26.

--OF Franklin Gutierrez was a late scratch from the lineup Sunday because he was not feeling well.
