--3B Andy Marte left Tuesday night's game in the third inning with a left calf strain, suffered while running to first base.

--C Kelly Shoppach was hit by a pitch in the fifth inning Tuesday. It's the 100th time the Indians have been hit by a pitch this season, tying the major league record set by the 1997 Houston Astros.

--2B Asdrubal Cabrera began serving his three-game suspension Tuesday night. Cabrera was suspended for three games by Major League Baseball for his actions during a brawl with the Detroit Tigers last Friday.

--LHP Cliff Lee's 5-4 loss to Boston on Tuesday was his first loss since July 6. In between losses, Lee went 11-0 with a 2.40 ERA.

--INF Jamey Carroll's infield single in the third inning Tuesday was his 500th career hit.

BY THE NUMBERS: 33 -- Years the Indians went between 20-game winners; from Gaylord Perry in 1974 to LHP Cliff Lee in 2008. That's the longest gap between 20-game winners in major league history.
