--The Indians are 0-4, the first time they have lost their first four games of the season since 1985, when they started 0-5.

--RHP Carl Pavano gave up nine runs in one-plus inning in his first start for the Indians. In getting swept in their three-game season-opening series with Texas, Indians starting pitchers LHP Cliff Lee, RHP Fausto Carmona and Pavano combined to give up 22 earned runs in 11 innings, an 18.00 ERA.

--LHP Cliff Lee gave up more earned runs (seven) in five innings on opening day than he gave up in his first seven starts combined last year (four).

--The average age of the players on the Indians' 25-man roster is 28.67 years, making them the third-youngest team in the American League.

BY THE NUMBERS: 47 -- Number of runs by which the Indians were out-scored (230-183), in going 12-20, with three ties, in spring training.
