--On Saturday, the Indians will attempt to do something they've only done once this year: win consecutive games. The only time the Indians have won consecutive games was April 15 and 16.

--C Victor Martinez's triple in the first inning Wednesday was his first in five years, and only his second career three-bagger. Martinez's other triple came on June 2, 2004, vs. Texas. He went 2,032 at bats between triples. It was also the Indians' first triple of the season. Cleveland was the last team in the majors to hit a triple.

--The Indians' game with the Red Sox on Tuesday took 4 hours, 19 minutes to play, two minutes shy of the Indians' club record for longest nine-inning game, set against Texas on Aug. 31, 2000.

BY THE NUMBERS: 6 -- Double plays the Indians turned in an 8-7 win over Kansas City on April 21, one shy of the major league record. Indians pitchers got Royals hitters to ground into a double play for six consecutive innings, from the third through the eighth.
