--RHP Jake Westbrook has returned to Cleveland to have his sore right elbow examined. It's expected the Indians will place Westbrook on the disabled list. Westbrook was scheduled to start Tuesday's game versus Texas.
--INF Casey Blake's seven RBIs equaled his career high, set on July 5, 2003 versus Tampa Bay. The Indians' record for most RBIs in a game is nine, by Chris James, on May 4, 1991 versus Oakland. --RHP Paul Byrd says the Indians, who went into Monday night's game a season-low six games under .500, are feeling a sense of urgency about their season slipping away. "You can't panic and start pressing," he said. "But at the same time, you don't want the hole to get any deeper. We need to get this thing turned around right away."
--RHP Tom Mastny was recalled from Class AAA Buffalo as the Indians went back to a 12-man pitching staff. They had been carrying 11 pitchers for the last few weeks. To make room on the roster for Mastny, 1B Michael Aubrey, who hit .185 with two home runs and two RBIs in nine games since his recall from Buffalo, was optioned back to Buffalo.
--The Indians are in Texas for the continuation of an 11-game, three-city road trip to Kansas City, Texas and Detroit. It's the Indians' longest road trip since an 11-gamer in July and August of 2004.
