--LHP C.C. Sabathia struck out 11 Friday night, his third consecutive double digit strikeout performance. He is the first Indians pitcher to strike out 10 or more batters in three consecutive starts since Chuck Finley did it in April 2000.

That marks the first time Indians starting pitchers have struck out 10 or more batters in consecutive games since Gaylord Perry and Dick Tidrow did it on July 10-11, 1972. --OF Grady Sizemore's home run Friday was his eighth in 24 games during June.
--RHP Fausto Carmona completed two sets of 30 throws Friday as he continues his rehab from a strained left hip that has kept him on the disabled list since May 24. Manager Eric Wedge said the team hopes to activate Carmona off the disabled list sometime shortly after the All-Star break.
--2B Jamey Carroll had three hits and is now batting .450 over his last 16 games, with eight RBIs and seven multi-hit games.
