--OF David Dellucci, who hadn't hit a home run since June 4, has hit two home runs in his last two starts, Saturday and Monday. --C Carlos Santana, acquired from the Dodgers as part of the Case Blake trade, is hitting .379 in his first seven games at Class A Kinston (N.C.). Santana's overall numbers this year also include 100 RBI and 96 runs scored, both tops in all the minor leagues.
--RHP Anthony Reyes, acquired recently in a minor league trade with St. Louis, is 2-0 with a 2.77 ERA in his first two starts at Class AAA Buffalo.
--C Kelly Shoppach, in his last six games, is hitting .448 (13-for-29), with six doubles, four home runs and eight RBIs.
BY THE NUMBERS: 30 -- Number of consecutive hitters LHP Jeremy Sowers has retired in the first five innings of his last two starts. Sowers pitched five perfect innings in both of those starts, but didn't get a win in either game.
