--SS Jhonny Peralta left Thursday's game in the seventh inning with a bruised left hand. Peralta was hit in the hand by a pitch from RHP Daniel Cabrera. X-rays were negative, and Peralta is day-to-day.
--DH Travis Hafner, who has been on the disabled list since May 30 with weakness in his right shoulder, took live batting practice Thursday for the first time since the injury. Manager Eric Wedge said he is hopeful Hafner can go on a minor league rehab assignment sometime next week. --LHP Zach Jackson gave up three runs on eight hits in five innings Thursday in his Indians debut. Jackson was one of the four players the Indians acquired from Milwaukee in the CC Sabathia trade. "I thought he was pretty good, considering it was his first time out," manager Eric Wedge said.
--OF Shin-Soo Choo had two more doubles Thursday. Choo's last six hits are all doubles, and seven of his last eight hits are doubles.
--RHP Edward Mujica continues to struggle out of the bullpen. In his last five appearances, Mujica has a 32.40 ERA, having given up 12 runs on 12 hits in 3 1/3 innings.
BY THE NUMBERS: 2 -- Indians players, since 1956, who have had two five-hit games in the same season. Jhonny Peralta has two five-hit games this year. Joe Carter had three five-hit games in 1986.
