Martinez, who was in the lineup as the designated hitter, was making his first appearance in a game on a minor league rehab. He has been on the disabled list the last two months recovering from elbow surgery. --RHP Trey Haley, a Texas high school pitcher, signed with the Indians. Haley was the Indians' second-round pick in the June draft. The Indians have signed each of their first 16 picks, and 30 of their 50 picks overall.

--1B Ryan Garko, who drove in the tying run with an RBI single in the sixth inning, has eight RBIs in his last seven games.
