Derek Jeter was the hero of yesterday's win (the Yanks' first in their new crib), as his solo shot (the Yanks' fifth dinger of the game) with two outs in the eighth broke a 5-5.

Today, all eyes are on Chien-Ming Wang (0-2, 28.93 ERA), who has struggled mightily in his first two starts. Monday in Tampa, Wang couldn't record even record an out in the second inning, as the Rays whacked him around for eight earned runs on six hits and three walks. Wang has just one strikeout on the season.

One thing that has gone unnoticed with Wang is that, last year, his splits favored his road performance (albeit in an abbreviated season). Wang was 3-2 with a 5.96 ERA in eight starts at home last season, and was 5-0 with a 2.12 on the road. He's looking for a new beginning today at the new stadium.

Fausto Carmona (0-2, 9.00) takes the hill today for Cleveland. Like Wang, Carmona has struggled in the early-going, allowing 10 earned runs in 10 innings. This is his third straight start on the road.

Monday in Kansas City, Carmona walked four in five innings. If the Yankees stay patient today, it could be a short day for Carmona.
