Jays flatter to deceive, lose 9-7
The Toronto Blue Jays were in control of things most of the night yesterday, but they were never able to deliver a big blow and, in the end, it cost them.

Josh Barfield hit a go-ahead RBI single in the 12th inning to start a three-run outburst as the Cleveland Indians twice rallied from deficits and recovered after wasting a two-run lead in the ninth for a 9-7 victory.

Shawn Camp (0-1), in his second inning of work, gave up a double to Mark DeRosa to open the 12th and an out later Luis Valbuena walked before Barfield shot a single up the middle to break the tie.

After Ben Francisco popped out to first, Grady Sizemore clubbed a double to right to bring home two more for a 9-6 lead.

Jensen Lewis, coming after Rafael Perez surrendered an RBI single to Rod Barajas, was able to hold that margin in the bottom of the frame for his first save, ending a three-game winning streak for the Blue Jays (18-10).
